Job Description

Purpose: Reporting to the Retail Manager, Inside Sales Representative is responsible for growing business relationships with customers as well as maintaining superior standards to Messer customer services. A key function of this role is to place efforts on business development for your region and Messer corporately. Job Description: Advise customers coming to the store and perform related tasks such as order preparation and follow-up. Provide administrative and technical support to internal clients. Provide creative customer service techniques, show an ability to source products and maintain satisfactory inventory levels. Capable of communicating on multiple levels with external customers with the objective of increasing counter sales through upselling. Support Branch Manager in obtaining all Key Performance Indicators (critical metrics), safety goals and an excellent net operating profit. Responsible for entering invoices into SAP, preparing credit notes, sorting documents, filing, and processing telephone orders. Actively solicits new sales in store and via outgoing calls. Improve counter sales and handle telephone enquiries from customers or prospective customers. Back-up for deliveries as needed. Receive incoming hardgoods shipments from vendors and intercompany warehouses. Requirements: Education & Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an inside sale or administrative experience; preferably in an industrial environment. Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience. Computers skills for using Microsoft Office Suite. Key Skills & Attributes: Strong sales and negotiation skills. Commercial competence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of modern business systems. SAP skills (asset). Messer product knowledge desirable. Delivery of exceptional sales targets. Understanding processes and mechanical proficiency. Capable of developing sales proposals. Proficient with PowerPoint, and excellent presentation skills. Strong understanding of Excel.
