Job descriptionMACHINE OPERATORLOCATION: Stayner, ONPAY RATE: $27-31/hour - Depending upon the experienceShift: Monday to Friday -7:30 am to 4 pmWhat''s in it for you?Immediate hireWeekly paySteady full time hoursGrowth opportunitiesJob OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. As the Machine Operator you play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operation of equipment. You will be responsible for setting up equipment, operating machinery, troubleshooting and performing minor PMs to the equipment and ensuring quality is met along the way. Ideally you will have experience with Tobacco or Cannabis Automation, including processing, filling and packaging to final product. The ideal candidate is energetic, collaborative, and forward- thinkingResponsibilitiesResponsible for equipment set-up and change overs, operating and monitoring equipment during operation, performing in-process checks, adjusting as necessary in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Perform daily activities associated with maximizing up time for all automated activities, with specific focus on Hauni/Cantos automated equipment. This includes all associated processes including mechanical setup to meet production requirements, material prep for the machine and running the machine daily.Support daily cleaning and completion of sanitation logs as requiredAssist with development and stabilization of new and existing equipmentEnsure and uphold quality standards throughout production runComplete hourly checks, fill out daily log book, support batch record completion.Perform minor and/or daily PMs to the machine and troubleshoot issues that may occur during operation of equipmentUtilize a continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processesAdhere to health and safety regulations and safely operate equipmentEnsure all work areas are kept clean and tidyOther duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 3-5 years working in a production environment with a mechanical background preferably in automationExperience with PLC and opti-vision system would be an assetExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilitiesKnowledge of Excel and software (Preferred)Previous knowledge of GPP, GAP and/or GMP regulations considered an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skills
