About Our Client Our client is a boutique law firm with offices in Oakville and Brampton, known for providing high-quality legal services across various practice areas. The firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Lawyer with strong experience in estate litigation and commercial/business disputes to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities Advocate for clients at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal, Divisional Court, Superior Court of Justice, and the Commercial List. Handle various litigation matters, including civil, commercial, and estate litigation. Manage complex disputes involving security enforcement, insolvency proceedings (e.g., receiverships and bankruptcies), and debtor/creditor issues such as guarantees, fraud, and transfers at undervalue. Lead litigation in business, shareholder, and construction lien disputes. Mentor and guide two junior lawyers, supporting their development and growth. Work toward potential advancement to Income Partner , based on performance and contribution to the firm. Qualifications LLB or JD from a recognized Canadian law school (or equivalent). Minimum of 6 years of experience in complex litigation, focusing on estate and commercial matters. Proven ability to manage files independently from start to finish. Strong written and oral advocacy skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a high-volume practice efficiently. Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor junior team members.
