The ideal candidate brings direct or personal experience in the hunting and fishing lodge industry, thrives in remote settings, and excels at both operational management and creating unforgettable guest experiences.As the General Manager, you will:Manage day-to-day lodge operations, both during the operating season and during the off-season, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments including guest services, logistics, and maintenance.Lead marketing efforts including trip bookings, correspondence and attendance at trade shows during the off-season. Utilize social media and other marketing channels effectively.Build and maintain relationships with guests and vendors, particularly in remote Arctic communities. Ensure exceptional guest experiences and efficient vendor management.Oversee logistical operations such as ordering for each camp, deliveries and flight scheduling for both the summer and fall seasons. Basic mechanical skills (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical) are advantageous.Develop and manage operational budgets with accounting staff, handle basic accounting tasks (e.g., invoicing, payables/receivables) and ensure fiscal and environmental responsibility.Supervise and coordinate staff, including guides, chefs, and support personnel.
