With that in mind, we are on the hunt for exceptional talent to join our growing team, and that's where you come in!The Nitty Gritty:Big Viking Games is on the hunt for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team on a full-time contract basis. This position will be reporting to the Director of HR & People Operations and will be responsible for two client groups, Big Viking games and our sister organization that is also in tech and gaming.The Role:The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for identifying and attracting top talent to Big Viking Games. In this role, you will develop and execute recruiting strategies, manage the full-cycle recruitment process, and ensure a positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outbound sourcing for engineering roles, experience implementing talent acquisition best practices, excellent communication and time management skills, and a passion for connecting people with opportunities.This is a full-time contract position with the potential for extension and/or conversion to full-time employee based on performance.RequirementsResponsibilities:Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategiesManage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offersUtilize various recruitment tools and platforms to identify and engage with passive and active candidatesDevelop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and talent pipelinesEnsure a positive candidate experience by providing timely updates, feedback, and assistance throughout the recruitment processTrack and analyze recruitment metrics to identify areas of improvement and measure the effectiveness of recruitment effortsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and legal compliance related to talent acquisitionPrior experience participating in job fairs, networking events, and other recruitment activities to promote the organization as an employer of choiceQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 2+ years of experience in software (gaming preferred) talent acquisitionProven success in managing full-cycle recruitment processesStrong knowledge of various recruitment tools, platforms, and best practicesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalStrong organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentStrong track record of closing multiple requisitions within a set timeframeLarge Canadian sourcing network for in demand engineering and technical rolesKnowledge of employment laws and regulations related to talent acquisitionBenefitsThe Loot:Competitive salary with performance bonusesPotential for contract extension and/or permanent full-time employmentBig Viking Games is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities.
