Job Title: Licensed Millwright Food Manufacturing (433a) Location: Hamilton, Ontario Industry: Food Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-Time Reports to: Maintenance Manager About the Company Our client, a leading food manufacturing company based in Hamilton, Ontario, is dedicated to producing high-quality food products in a fast-paced, regulated environment. They seek a licensed Millwright to join their maintenance team as they grow. Position Summary The Licensed Millwright (433a) will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and equipment within our facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, a safety-first mindset, and prior experience working in a food-grade environment. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and repair mechanical equipment and systems, including conveyors, packaging machinery, mixers, and pumps. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical issues to root cause and implement effective solutions. Work in compliance with GMP, HACCP, CFIA, and food safety standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Collaborate with other trades and production staff to support operational goals. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades. Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies and procedures. Qualifications: Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433a. Minimum 35 years of experience as a Millwright in a food manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an asset. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
