Director, Capital Markets Finance Transformation & GovernanceLarge Financial Institution | Hybrid (3 Days in Office)Overview:A leading financial institution is seeking a Director, Capital Markets Finance Transformation & Governance to lead large-scale projects, system changeovers, and finance transformation initiatives impacting multiple regions and multiple product lines. This role ensures consistency, proper controls, and governance across capital markets' finance-related projects, while also driving reporting efficiencies and evaluating existing processes. With a strong focus on stakeholder management, reporting, technology, and process transformation, the Director will play a key role in assessing SOX and risk frameworks, modernizing outdated processes, and leveraging AI-driven automation.The Key Responsibilities include the following:Lead large-scale finance transformation projects, ensuring consistency and alignment across regions.Oversee system changeovers and assess the impact on financial reporting and controls.Work closely with product-specific controllers to transition ownership of key transformation initiatives.Evaluate SOX and risk frameworks, assessing whether current processes are efficient and fit for purpose.Drive reporting improvements, increasing automation and efficiency.Assess how AI-driven solutions can enhance controls and financial governance.Manage stakeholder relationships across finance, technology, and business units.Provide oversight on project governance, ensuring controls and reporting structures align with business needs.To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications:10+ years of experience in finance transformation, financial governance, or finance systems implementation.CPA Designated or Foreign equivalent.Strong understanding of financial reporting including accounting for financial instruments, SOX compliance, and risk frameworks.Experience with capital markets or hands-on integration/system setup expertise is very strongly preferred.Ability to drive automation, reporting improvements, and AI adoption in financial processes.Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence across departments.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.If you have the skills required to be successful in this role and you would like to learn more, please send your updated resume in MS Word format to Shawn Bullen CPA, CA at . #J-18808-Ljbffr
