OverviewGrades PersonSureway Construction is one of Albertas largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.Job Type: Full-time, seasonalSchedule: 10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 40hr/weekLocation: PentictonPay Range: $25-$30 per hour depending on experienceEssential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditionsRequirements: Personal Reliable VehicleCSA approved steel toed boots with 6 ankle supportPre-employment:Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientationGrades Person Responsibilities:Check the grade of roadways and construction sites using manual and laser methods.Promote, execute and adhere to the companys safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position.Grades Person Qualifications:Minimum one (1) year experience as a grade person.Exceptional math skills.Excellent problem-solving skills required.Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.Must have proven ability to work in tight spots.Good communication and interpersonal skills required.Must be a team player.Sureway Construction Group is an equal opportunity employer.
