Home: Southbridge GoderichLocation: Goderich, ONPosition: Executive DirectorSouthbridge Care Homes owns and operates several long-term care and retirement homes across Southwestern Ontario. We are seeking an Executive Director for the Huron East Region.Reporting to the Regional Director, the Executive Director is responsible for providing high-quality care to residents and maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.Responsibilities:Provide leadership to achieve residents' goals and objectives.Manage human, financial, and physical resources of the facility.Recruit and support the professional development of team members.Engage with residents, families, and the community to promote the mission, vision, and values.Participate in budgeting and manage the facility within budget, overseeing accounting operations.Qualifications and Skills:Post-secondary degree (3-year) or diploma (2-year) in health or social services.Administrators Certification (minimum 100 hours of instruction).Ontario Fire Safety: Training for Owners/Operators Course Certificate.At least 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience in health or social services, or in another relevant capacity with Long-Term Care Administrator Certification.Existing Administrators OLTCHA Provision.For those employed as Administrators before July 1, 2010, with continued employment, the following apply:At least three years of experience as a long-term care home Administrator.Completion or enrollment in a long-term care home administration program meeting the Act's requirements.Additional Qualifications:Effective leadership, communication, and comprehension skills.Passion for working with the retirement community.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Customer-focused attitude and relationship-building skills.Creative problem-solving skills.Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety laws and practices.Basic accounting knowledge and legislation awareness.We thank all applicants for their interest.
