You will use data to guide your work, be comfortable challenging business leaders, and create an impact on how work is done.We want you if your mindset includes:A sense that youre a builder, and comfortable with ambiguity.A strong sense of accountability and co-ownership of challenges.A desire to work in an environment where priorities change as we learn.Ambition to help achieve our mission while progressing your career.Persistent and independent to get the task done without a lot of direction.A love for the all-hands-on-deck feels of a startupno task too big or too small.Passion, grit, and enjoy organizing chaos.What youd be doing:Assess organizational development needs and provide partnership and support in the areas of organizational effectiveness, organizational design, talent assessment, and change management.Own and drive workforce talent strategies in support of business priorities to include understanding and knowledge of key talent and critical roles within the business, and creating succession plans to ensure each business area has the quality and robust bench strength for key positions with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.Play a key role in supporting business transformation projects and initiatives within each business area where there is an identified need from a people/organizational strategy perspective.Build relationships with leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.Create specific plans supporting people-related strategies and initiatives to support the departments needs, identify opportunities, and enhance operational strengths and performance across the business unit.Understand and interpret financial and operational terms and initiatives to capture the needs of the client group being served to deliver effective people processes, training, and support.Leverage data and analytics to decipher raw data directly and translate it into actionable insights with a strategic plan.Coach and mentor members of the People Business Partner team to help drive key people programs.Develops and supports DE&I initiatives to provide a fair and consistent organizational culture.Provide effective direction, counsel, and advice to leaders on the interpretation and application of HR policy and practice, employment, and labor laws (i.e., EEOC, ADA, FMLA) in partnership with the Director, ER & ComplianceProcess and program owner for leadership & development initiatives.Support business units with HR administrative support and assistance when neededEnter any departmental and job changes in the HRIS system when needed.Were looking for someone who has:Bachelors degree and 8+ years applicable HR Business Partner experience with proven experience closely partnering with senior leaders within a rapidly scaling organization; experience supporting Software or related tech business areas required.PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.Certification in team/individual effectiveness e.g., StrengthsFinder, Insights, etc., a strong plusDemonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop, and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.Demonstrated business knowledge and acumen, with a strong desire to further understand the business and keep learning.Solutions focused and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.Superior communication skills convey confidence, empathy, and trust to build effective relationships while engaging with front line employees as well as senior leaders on strategic and operational levels.Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask.Experience with Microsoft platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and HR people platforms.Ability to leverage tools to provide metrics and reporting to the business unit that will help drive people decisions such as recruiting, engagement, and turnover.About SageSure:Named among the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance for four years in a row (2020-2023), SageSure is one of the largest managing general underwriters (MGU) focused on catastrophe-exposed markets in the US.
