It is within this context that Trinity College invites nominations and applications for the role of Director, Commercial Business Development, a position that will have an indelible impact on the future of the organization.The Director, Commercial Business Development will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Trinity Colleges commercial strategy, aligning revenue-generating initiatives with the institutions strategic objectives. Reporting to the Bursar and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), this position will be responsible for maximizing the commercial potential of the Colleges physical assets while maintaining the integrity of the academic environment. Key initiatives will include managing leases, hosting corporate events, facilitating filming opportunities, and optimizing the use of hospitality facilities and summer camps. The Director will lead the development of long-term commercial strategies, foster key stakeholder relationships, and oversee the operational expansion of the Lawson Centre for Sustainability in 2025. With strong financial acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of and/or strong appreciation for the complexities of an academic institution, the Director will play a crucial role in enhancing Trinity Colleges financial sustainability and institutional reputation.QualificationsAmong the qualifications being sought in candidates, the incoming leader must have a deep and abiding commitment to advancing reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in all its forms and must believe, intrinsically, in the importance of leading with curiosity and welcoming ideas that can later be synthesized and turned into possibility.
