As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you'll lead projects, influence decisions, and drive technical excellence while working with supportive colleagues who enjoy their work.Responsibilities:Lead and execute complex projects from initial concept through construction.Develop detailed engineering designs, oversee permitting and compliance, and manage construction activities such as quality control and contractor coordination.Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.Mentor junior staff, review work, and foster professional growth within the team.Manage budgets, prepare reports, and build strong client relationships.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field and a PE certification (or ability to obtain licensure by comity in WA within 3 months, OR and ID thereafter).At least 8 years of relevant experience in stormwater design, environmental remediation, and site development.Familiarity with Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel.Proven project management skills and ability to mentor teams.Proficiency in engineering design, permitting, and construction management.Preferred Skills:Experience in industrial stormwater design, utility design, or grading plans.Hands-on construction oversight or management experience.Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with current refresher.Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities.About MFAMFA is an employee-owned engineering and environmental firm dedicated to improving communities through our work.
