If you are interested in taking on a new challenge with a rapidly growing company and think you can help us achieve our goals, we want to hear from you!DutiesLead our team of engineers, mechanical designers, and technicians to bring our equipment from concept to productionOversee all aspects of engineering, including: scheduling, planning, reporting, drafting, design and product documentationWork with management to identify future products, priorities, conceptual design and direction on all engineering projectsDevelop and implement procedures and standards for all engineering outputsManage all production records, drawings, models, assembly instructions, bill of materials and revisionsWork with sales, marketing, customer support and management for quick and seamless product launchesRecruit, train, mentor, manage and develop our engineering teamCo-ordinate testing and certification for applicable codes, standards and governing bodiesContinuous improvement of our existing equipment, including the development of new accessoriesTest prototypes and making rapid changes to improve features and performanceAssist our production team with models and drawings for machined parts and fixturingSupport our legal team with reviewing and writing patents as well as periodic infringement reviewsMaintain time and product development logs for SRED and other granting programsVerify that product designs are manufacturable, user-friendly and serve their intended purposeLiaise with mechanical designers and suppliers to help specify and source purchased componentsRequirementsCertificate or degree from a recognized mechanical engineering/technology program or related field.Exceptional leadership skills10+ years of mechanical design experience5+ years of engineering management experience in a production environment10+ years of hands-on experience such as machining, fabricating, being a mechanic, or have a genuine love of building things since childhoodStrong organizational skillsExpert in SolidWorks PDM, modeling, drawings, assemblies, sheet metal, weldments, rendering, and simulationStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborateAnnual SalaryWe want the best talent possible and are prepared to offer a competitive salary to get it.BenefitsAfter three months employment, we offer a benefits package that includes the following:80% Coverage for basic dental80% Coverage for most prescription drugsExtended Health BenefitsLife & AD&D InsuranceESOPAfter one full year of employment, employees are eligible to participate in the companys Employee Stock Ownership PlanHoursPrimarily day shift (8:00am 4:30pm), with flexibility to work longer hours as required.ApplicationsPlease ensure the following actions are taken when you apply:Complete the Predictive Index that will be forwarded to you shortly.Submit a resume and cover letter addressing the requirements of the job poster with with your application.Benefits:Casual dressDental careDisability insuranceExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site parkingVision care #J-18808-Ljbffr
