Job Description

Matchtech are supporting the recruitment for a Senior Scheduler to work with a key client on high profile railway projects. Main Duties: This role will report to the Head of Planning and below are the key accountabilities and responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of the project's planning and construction strategies, across the corridor. Collaborate with project teams and external stakeholders to identify and optimize construction sequencing, logistics, and resource allocation. Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments to ensure effective planning and staging of construction activities. Coordinate with various teams to develop construction schedules, phasing plans, and mitigation measures. Planning of engineering trains, access and possessions, reduce possession related cost due to engineering trains, Increase efficiency of engineering access. Attend planning meetings ensuring effect planning is done to reduce safety, maximise performance of engineering possessions. Chair Integration and Deconfliction and Readiness meetings for engineering possessions. Monitor and update the project's planning and staging activities based on changing requirements and constraints. Profile/Skills: Minimum seven (7) years of experience in construction planning and staging for large infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway industry. Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics planning, and resource management Familiarity with construction methodologies, safety regulations, and environmental considerations Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Behavioural Skills Monitors work assignments for adherence to timelines and compliance with policies and processes. Create the environment for successful implementation of processes. Ability to contribute to the establishment of a behavioral charter and capability to drive the agreed. behavioral values through MCS and the wider program team.
