About the Company: Our client, a leading international law firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk to join their dynamic team and support their busy real estate practice. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a global legal practice and work on sophisticated, high-value transactions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of real estate and lending processes, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage files independently from start to finish. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, and land development projects. Conduct and review due diligence, including title and off-title searches, corporate and zoning due diligence, and preparation of title summaries. Coordinate with title insurers, municipalities, and third-party service providers. Prepare closing documents, trust letters, and statements of adjustments. Oversee closings, including funds flow, document registration, and post-closing deliverables. Support lawyers with drafting and reviewing commercial leases, subleases, lease amendments, and related documentation. Assist in the preparation and review of loan and security documentation for various lenders and borrowers, including private and institutional clients. Conduct corporate and PPSA searches and registrations. Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, and external counsel on closing requirements. Manage conditions precedent checklists and ensure timely delivery of closing documents. Support transactional closings including execution packages, funds flow, and post-closing follow-up. Requirements: Law Clerk diploma or equivalent certification from a recognized institution. Minimum 5+ years of experience in a law firm or financial institution, with a focus on commercial real estate and/or lending. Familiarity with title insurance processes, municipal planning departments, and land registry offices. Excellent drafting, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
