Were looking for someone who can strategically shape messaging by telling impactful stories that resonate with diverse audiences and inspire them to engage with our mission. As the Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will provide support across a full range of marketing and communications initiatives in line with the TFSS strategic objectives, brand maintenance and client care goals. You will:Work cross-departmentally to support/design marketing and communications deliverables, including:Marketing Materials: Create and provide ongoing review and revision of collateral prepared by the Development Team (emails, funder reports/proposals, letters, etc.); create/update marketing materials, short brochures, presentation decks for speaking engagements, etc.Pitches, Proposals and Presentations: Update/craft information packages and other pitch and proposal materials. Ensure all Development Team communications are accurate, consistent, proofread, engaging, and brand compliant. Support the Development Teams communications materials by gathering relevant external information and data to support funder materials, and sourcing program stories, testimonials, photos and other content. Work with the Development and Communications team, to design and execute direct mailing campaigns as needed.Work with the Communications team to ensure all other organizational communications and marketing pieces are brand compliant and reflect the organizations strategic objectives.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills and ExperienceDemonstrated successful experience in communications and marketing.Strong writing skills with the ability to understand and communicate complex ideas persuasively and efficiently to various funders through various platforms, such as reports, proposals, presentations, and emails, etc.Experience with donor recognition and stewardship practices.Attention to detail, and superior writing, spelling, proofreading and editing skills.Graphic design and layout skills with an eye for compelling, professional visuals.Demonstrated experience in creating and assembling engaging marketing materials ensuring brand integrity and adherence to print and digital specifications.Understanding of communications measurement tools, tactics, and benchmarks.Demonstrated experience in applicable computer programs, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), and Canva.Experience with Raisers Edge is considered an asset.Education and Work RequirementsUniversity degree and/or College diploma in English, Communications, or Marketing with a minimum of three years of direct experience working in communications and marketing environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle when needed. Location, Hours of Work and CompensationSalary range: $75,000 to $83,000 annuallyBenefits and three weeks vacationThis position is currently based in our downtown location (30 St. Patrick Street) and is eligible to participate in the hybrid (home/office) work programThe regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, 35 hours per weekTFSS is committed to the health and wellbeing of our employees.
