The successful candidate will work for a top employer in an inclusive, progressive, and dynamic team environment where professional excellence shines!Our client offers:Top employer benefits with no waiting periodCompetitive compensation and generous time off Opportunity to develop to your full potential and commitment to professional growthCollaborative and interconnected culture Strong values and community involvement Responsibilities:Prepare, edit, format, print, scan, and revise correspondenceProofread documents and check for appropriate format, spelling, grammar, and clarityFile applications with Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO)Liaise with agents to file applications Monitoring and reporting of Trademarks Journal Managing database and maintaining deadlines Maintaining records, and physical and electronic files Manage key dates and bring forward system and updating calendars Coordinate client meetingsLiaise with team members as needed Requirements:3+ years experience in Intellectual Property practice in a law firm or legal environmentLegal Administrative Assistant certificate/diploma or equivalentStrong attention to detail and superior word processing, spelling, proofreading, and editing skillsExcellent organization and time management skillsCompensation: the expected annual salary range for this role is $55k - $80k based on experience and qualifications plus paid overtime, excellent firm paid benefits, RRSP plan.You may be interested in this opportunity if you have experience in the following: patents, trademarks, copyright, IP.
