About the JobAs Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in providing commercial legal guidance across several business units. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, youll advise leadership on key legal matters, oversee a regional legal team, and ensure corporate compliance across jurisdictions. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on legal execution and mentoring.Duties will include:Advising senior stakeholders on commercial legal issues and risk mitigationLeading legal teams across multiple geographiesDrafting, negotiating, and managing high-value contracts with customers, suppliers, and partnersEnsuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policiesHandling commercial litigation and dispute resolutionSupporting M&A integration from a legal standpointDeveloping internal legal policies, training programmes, and governance toolsCollaborating with external counsel and regulatory bodies as neededDelivering legal reports and contributing to business strategyAbout the Successful ApplicantYou will be a qualified lawyer in Canada with significant commercial legal experience, gained within the telecoms and software sectors. Youll have expertise in contract law, team leadership, and cross-border matters.
