OverviewThe Solution Manager will be responsible for leading a cross-functional product journey focused on delivering business value. You will spearhead the development and implementation of strategic business solutions engaging business and keeping their technology requirements in the forefront.The position is responsible for creating a clear vision for the business solution to manage businesses emerging requirements by leading planning, defining and designing complex, multi-application solution exploration.The Solution Manager is accountable for defining desirable, viable, feasible, and sustainable solutions that align with the corporations vision and strategic plan. The role is accountable for the Portfolio and Enterprise backlog, prioritization and sequencing for maximum delivery of value and meeting business needs. You will be responsible for the solution roadmap across large programs and collaborates with various roles such as enterprise architects, business architects, business leaders, program directors, program managers.ResponsibilitiesLeads in planning, defining, and high-level designing of complex, multi-application solutions and exploration of solution alternatives, focused on creating alignment across business and technology for the full solution rather than concerns for specific components.Provides business context, expertise, and guidance at the solution level. Seeks active consultation and direction on drafting, presenting ideas and potential solutions to the initiatives assignedChampions a customer-centric approach in all solution designs and implementations, ensuring the end-user experience and business context are embedded in all stages of solution development.Responsible for creating long term solution vision and roadmaps that adhere to corporate priorities and program intent and are communicated and understood by stakeholdersResponsible for preparing and validation of the business case, including assessing changes to the program impacting the business cases and develops KPIs for the sameDrives solutions with business mindset by engaging stakeholders as partners in co-creating tailored solutions that align to real business needs and strategic goals.Accountable for overall program scope management and for meeting identified business benefits, ensuring the outcomes balance business and technology program goals.Maintains a strong customer-centric focus by aligning solution delivery with measurable business outcomes that matter most to internal and external customers.Establishes and maintains close working relationship with key stakeholders, obtaining commitment to the successful execution of program deliverables and alignment of scope and business benefits.Oversees and provides project based updates and works with Product Management, Customer Experience, Operational Readiness and Business Process Management resources assigned to the program, and manages the activities of System Integrators (SIs) and product vendors to ensure alignment in scope and timing. Also aligns requirement management and validation approach.Responsible for establishing readiness criteria for systems integrators and vendor engagements from a program scope and business benefits perspective. QualificationsDegree or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.SAFe POPM (Product Manager/Product Owner) certification.Eight years of related experience in product management in a large, complex business environment of which three years are in a leadership capacity.Deep understanding of auto insurance practices with thorough knowledge of Manitoba Public Insurances line of businesses.Agile product development methodology experience.Experience in product strategy/vision/roadmaps in a Lean-Agile environment an asset.Advance communication skills to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.Establish and maintain effective relationships and communications with leaders, peers, and vendors. Advanced analytical and quantitative skills to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.Quickly absorb complex, ambiguous concepts and organize them into structured requirements.Review and synthesize information and feedback into actionable items.Influencing skills to guide leadership, Business Architects, System Architects, Product Owners, Agile Release Trains, and all stakeholders to understand vision, resources, priorities, and definition of completion/release.Candidate requires a valid drivers licence.Candidate requires access to a personal vehicle
