Iovate Health Sciences International Inc. is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Senior Quality Release Specialist to join our team!Key Responsibilities:Monitor and track finished product samples which are sent to third party labs for active and microbiological testingWork closely with Logistics, Customer Service and/or Inventory Planners to determine what SKUs or lot codes of finished product require rush testingWork closely with suppliers to determine products requiring priority release as required by customer demand. Ensure samples are sent out in a timely manner as per Iovates testing requirementsEnsure lines of communication between IHS QA and manufacturer Quality departments are open so that IHS is notified in a timely manner of any deviations that may delay release of productDetermine estimated due dates and follow-up with lab and/or co-packers to ensure timely results; request retests if requiredUpon receipt of COAs and lab results for each product/lot code review all results to determine that specifications are met; contact appropriate person(s) to resolve any deviations or issuesReview batch records, as requiredCo-ordinate product release priorities of Quality Assurance release personnelCommunicate to internal stakeholders changes to release dates communicated due issues and/or deviations related to the release of high priority items on a daily basisLog COAs into Manufacturer COAs Access DatabaseGenerate Deviations as per Iovates process for any product/lot code that does not meet specificationsManage IHS Deviation system to ensure timely follow-up and closure of deviations generatedAssess the status of products in electronic inventory system (ERP D365) to ensure product SKUs/lots are releasedRequest products that require further evaluations before release from Iovate distribution center; i.e. for ID Testing of Canadian SKUs or for further testing of active and/or microbiological testing or for Stability/Shelf Life studies as requiredEnsure required products are ID tested and that results are documented; communicate related issues and/or deviations to required personnel and/or co-packersProvide GMP Training for new employees or refresher training to existing employees as requiredAttend Product Priority & IRA meetings with Production Planning and Customer Service groups as required representing QA by providing updates on WL items and receive info on upcoming high priority releasesUpdate or generate Standard Operating Procedures as requiredAssist in Customer Complaints investigations as requiredWork closely with Safety Assurance group to gather information for Adverse Event reporting of products produced and released to marketOther role related duties as assignedQualifications:Post-Secondary Education in Biological, Chemical or Food Sciences, Quality Assurance or related fieldMinimum 4 years of Quality Assurance, food, or nutraceutical or pharmaceutical experience preferably within a consumer packaged goods environmentExperience working with quality systems (ie. cGMPs, GMPs, etc)Experience in writing standard operating procedures and/or quality manualsProactive and able to continuously manage change in an extremely fast paced, energetic work environment Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools and CAPAOutstanding communication and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated collaboration skills working with cross-functional business partnersExperience with supplier quality management and Co-manufacturers would be an assetProficient in the use of MS Office Suite What We Offer: World class gym, fitness classes and external basketball court Community involvement through charitable eventsCompetitive compensation package100% Group Health & Dental Coverage Employee Assistance Program Company RRSP Matching Paid vacation & 5 personal daysEmployee Engagement Events Product & Swag from our industry leading brands Professional career development Opportunities for Global career exposure without the need to relocate!Company Culture Our Mission at Iovate is to inspire active lives through nutrition and wellness for a healthier tommorow.
