Job Title : Welding & Fabrication NPI Quality & Engineering Lead Metal APQP PPAP FSI / Lean Six Sigma Welding Custom Metal Fabrication lean Six Sigma Capital Projects in Welding & Metal Fabrication Location: St. Marys -Stratford - Kitchener, ON areaSalary: $110K-125K; benefits starting first day of employmentPermanent Full time, On site at the manufacturing site 5 days a weekClear Criminal Check RequiredOur client is a leading custom fabricator of metal fabricated parts with several sites and plants in Ontario and have a job open for Welding & Fabrication NPI Quality & Engineering Lead for their Custom Metal welding & Fabrication site in the St. Marys -Stratford - Kitchener, ON area. Candidates must be experienced in leading overseeing Quality for New Product Introduction NPI involving CMM , Welding & Fabrication Processes . Lean Six Sigma experience preferred Clear criminal check is required.Welding & Fabrication NPI Quality & Engineering Lead is a leadership hands -on role to oversee Quality and Manufacturing Engineering for welding and custom fabrication processes and lead Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, evaluate existing welding cutting bending custom fabrication processes, KPIs, SOPs Best Practices, conduct Gap Analysis using FMEA DMAIG and other tools and implement corrective action in Product Quality, Process Quality to optimize production efficiency, quality and safety. You will manage all welding ASME CAW Continuous Improvement / Lean / Process Improvement projects, define the project milestones for time and spend and maintain the milestones. You will lead and manage Manufacturing Engineers/ Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors coach , mentor and be responsible for performance management. You will write revise SOPs, Best Practices/ Work Instructions/ Weld Instructions, improve costs, reduce cycle time, and enhance product quality. You will manage all welding certifications perform line audits, weld quality audits, and be responsible for all external audits Regulatory Bodies / Customs and similar. Welding & Fabrication NPI Quality & Engineering Lead will ideally have supervisory/leadership/ people management experience of minimum 3-4 years leading a team of Industrial Engineers Quality Engineers / CI Engineers / with 7-8 years hands on experience in Process Improvement / Lean Six Sigma Quality type experience in metal custom fabrication welding ASME, CAW and similar (MUST have ). Welding Inspection weld audits ,Lean Six Sigma projects in welding metal custom fabrication is a MUST Qualified applicants already experience in leading CI project related to welding (MUST have ) in St. Marys -Stratford - Kitchener, ON area with minimum 3-4 years people management experience are invited to forward their resumes in MS Word format to .
