Construction Estimator (electrical or mechanical) Location: Can be based in offices in the following locations: Mississauga, ON, Hamilton, ON, Evansville, IN, Buffalo, NY, Paducah, KY, Janesville, WI, Cleveland, OH. Job Type: Full-Time, 100% on site Reports To: Estimating Director or Division Manager Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000/year + Bonus of about 7% + RRSP matching Interview process : 2 online assessments + 3 interviews. Benefits fully paid by the employer (US/Canada) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing tenders, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for projects ranging from $350K to $15M . Working closely with division leadership, project managers, safety, procurement, and other key stakeholders, you will play a vital role in ensuring that bids are thorough, competitive, and aligned with company objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to contribute to meaningful construction projects in a multi-trade setting. Requirements: ~4-10+ years of experience in multi-trade construction estimating projects from $1M to $30M. ~ Proficiency with Accubid, Excel, Bluebeam, Contruent Estimating Software or equivalent ~ Must have 3+ years of experience with industrial, automotive, power, transformer, substations sector (residential or commercial estimating experience will not count) in CANADA or USA. ~ College diploma, bachelors degree, or equivalent trade certification/experience. ~ Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. ~ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ~ Strong organizational, negotiation, and time management abilities. ~ High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy. Preferred: ~ Prior experience in unionized, multi-trade construction environments.
