The Culture Lead will be responsible for the execution and sustainment of a robust culture strategy, actively championing, shaping, measuring and reporting on Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI)s organizational culture. The position will collaborate closely across People & Culture, Internal Communications and leadership teams to embed our mission, values, and desired behaviors into every aspect of employee experience. The Culture Lead will also be accountable for collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to help shape the employee experience focusing on organizational campaigns, events and initiatives that promote employee engagement, well-being, pride, and high performing teams where everyone feels empowered and inspired to contribute their best work. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination, creativity, and a deep understanding of what makes workplace culture thrive. Responsibilities: Collaborate with leadership to continuously define, refine, and articulate the organizations cultural identity. Design and lead programs that bring our core values to life across the employee lifecycleand embed them across teams and departments. Use data and feedback (e.g. engagement surveys, exit interviews, pulse checks) to assess cultural health and recommend initiatives to address gaps or strengthen positive trends Identify critical beliefs and behaviors that underpin a rewarding and progressive workplace and embed these within organizational programs. Create programs that nurture employee well-being, personal growth, and team cohesion. Engage various teams of cross-functional subject matter experts to envision future state outcomes that meet the corporations vision for employee experience. Identify moments that matter the most to our employees, and outline strategies to bridge current gaps throughout programs, processes, technology solutions, and/or communication campaigns throughout the organization. Determine scope of plan and the cost of programs to effectively manage against budget ensuring appropriate balance between ongoing cost excellence, evolving organizational needs and quality outcomes. Proactive project management including planning and reporting to ensure all activities take place as planned, risks are identified, mitigation efforts are explored and when additional support is needed requests are made in a thoughtful, timely manner. Develop, manage and foster a strong relationship with internal communications to craft culturally aligned messages, town halls, and facilitate storytelling campaigns that reinforce company culture and values programming. Develop program evaluation model(s) and metrics to track culture program health through key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring and reporting on effectiveness of culture program and/or identify mitigation strategies. Coordinate with various departments to ensure cultural initiatives and organizational values are integrated into daily operations. Partner with key stakeholders to coordinate organizational assessments such as focus groups, or surveys. Work with leaders to schedule culture program delivery and events to ensure minimum disruption to operational service while also creating inclusive opportunities for our employees where they feel seen, heard, and valued. Work with MPIs Centre for Change Enablement and support organizational change efforts by ensuring culture remains a central pillar during periods of growth, transition, or transformation. Qualifications: Degree in Commerce, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A professional designation or additional education is considered an asset, including: Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). Prosci Change Management Certificate. Certified Leadership Coach. Adult education certificate/courses. Six years of experience in any of the following areas: Designing, implementing and/or executing People & Culture programs. Managing and building culture programs through technology & data. Change management and organizational transformation, employee onboarding, organizational development, and leadership and talent management. Employee engagement and experience surveys, focus groups and feedback mechanisms. Project management certification. Translate business needs to effective and impactful culture programming to support company transformation. A strong service/partnering mindset to co-create and engage to ensure needs are being met. Understanding the big picture vision and journey of the portfolio, the why, the benefits, the stakeholders and the value proposition. Assessing organizational needs and developing programs from requirements identification, business case development, budgeting, content development, vendor selection, implementation and evaluation. Deep understanding of employee lifecycle and how culture impacts attraction, retention, and engagement. Highly effective team player who brings a positive and high-engergy approach to customer service working with and through others; possesses a truly collaborative style with an ability to effectively influence others through a thoughtful and tactful communication style.
