This individual is responsible for leading efforts to identify new growth opportunities, securing government contracts that deliver to LifeLabs business plan, and building partnerships that advance LifeLabs goals.The VP of Government Growth and Partnerships East is a strategic and collaborative leader with a deep understanding of government procurement and the ability to cultivate relationships with key government decision-makers paired with a strong results orientation and desire to achieve growth targets.Your responsibilities will include :Strategic Growth and Business Development - 50%Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive business development growth strategy and plan for Ontario and Eastern Canada that will deliver revenue growth and expand LifeLabs footprint in the public sectorProposal Development - 20%Drives the development of LifeLabs' public policy positions and proposals to government policymakers, as well as other influential non-governmental stakeholders who have influence, to achieve revenue and business growth objectivesProactively monitors the trends affecting the community lab industry and informs senior leaders across LifeLabs in order to maximize our opportunities to win in the marketLobbies government decision-makers in pursuit of LifeLabs objectivesPartnership and Relationship Management - 15%Develops a strategy and plan to deepen relationships with our Government partners in Ontario and Eastern Canada to establish and maintain a strong external presence and position LifeLabs as a partner of choice.Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with Government decision-makers, including Ministers of Health and their staff, Executive Officials and staff of regulatory bodies in order to maintain LifeLabs position as a trusted advisor to governmentsUnderstands the political and policy climate of health care and aligns LifeLabs' strategy to that of the provincial governmentsDelivers regular representations on key industry issues. Mobilizes and engages key stakeholders and the industry at large on key issuesDevelop and Mobilize Internal Teams to Support Growth - 15%In partnership with the SVP, Government Markets and other Senior Leaders in the Government Markets team, mobilizes and focuses team members to directly influence government decision-makers to positively influence outcomes. Support cross-LifeLabs efforts on Government Markets initiativeWhat You Bring To The RoleBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or related fieldMinimum 10-15 years of senior leader experience in government sales or business development, with a proven track record of securing large-scale contractsExecutive-level experience building and advancing relationships within the GovernmentStrong preference for experience within the Healthcare industryAbility to develop strategic business development and revenue growth plans and execute them effectivelyStrong knowledge of government procurement processes and compliance requirementsExceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skillsStrategic thinking, business acumen and business development with governmentsLifeLabs' compensation programs are commensurate based on the role, skill, effort, responsibility and working conditions, irrespective of gender, race, ethnicity, beliefs, age or any other personal characteristics.
