Job Type: Senior Network AnalystJob Type: Permanent role, 5 days on-site, located in Lethbridge Alberta. Job Salary: $63,255 - $95,896 / YearDay to Day:Insight Global is looking for a Senior Network Analyst to sit onsite in Lethbridge, AB, Canada for a large University client. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of wired networks by installing, upgrading, and maintaining hardware. This role will be Monday - Friday onsite with willingness to respond to network outages and after-hours upgrades.Responsibilities Include:Administer and maintain the university's wired network infrastructure, including Cisco Nexus switches, routers, and Firepower firewalls.Physically install, configure, and decommission network hardware such as switches and routers.Regularly visit various campus locations and other sites to maintain and install new network equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Install, upgrade, and maintain network hardware, keeping firmware and software up to date.Utilize network monitoring software to detect conditions requiring corrective action or performance tuning.Collaborate with the team to schedule and implement networking infrastructure.Work with the Universitys procurement team to prepare and evaluate bid specifications.Maintain accurate documentation of network design, maintenance activities, and inventoryAbility to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionallyBe available to respond to network outages and perform after-hours upgrades as neededMust Haves:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - Preferred5+ years of computer networking infrastructure experience - 5-10 yearsProficiency with Cisco wired infrastructureCisco CCNA certification, preferred is CCIE!Thorough understanding of network infrastructure and protocols (layer 2 and 3, multicast, DHCP, DNS, IP address management).Ability to solve network-related problems using device diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.Understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, ISIS).More than just a low level technician waiting for small tasks to be assigned - senior overall - someone who has some real experience - work independently - solve problems and come up with matureIdeal case: wants someone to be in Lethbridge and wants to stick it out long term.
