The joint venture between SNC-Lavalin and Aecon has been awarded an Extended Services Master Services Agreement (ESMSA) with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for projects at the Pickering & Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Senior Project Control Specialist will be responsible for providing project control support to ongoing ESMSA projects and supporting the companys estimating and construction teams. What You''ll Do Here Ensure compliance of assigned projects with project controls standardsboth from contract documents and Aecon policies. Participate in developing and maintaining the companys project cost/control systems. Assist in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure alignment between estimates and baselines. Develop and maintain a detailed, resource-loaded schedule in P6. Help set up project baselines (budget, schedule) in the ERP system (SAP, P6). Configure project controls systems (cost codes, project rules of credit) in SAP. Review contracts and ensure all conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management) are fulfilled. Monitor project performance and analyze earned value and key performance indices. Generate project status reports, including dashboards and performance reports. Support change management activities in compliance with contract conditions. Review cost and schedule reports, suggest corrective actions, and provide feedback. Prepare and update cash flows and forecasts. Supervise and mentor junior Project Control Specialists. Participate in project status meetings and produce custom reports as needed. Contribute to ongoing improvements to Aecons project controls policies and guidelines. What You Bring To The Team 5-7 years of Project Controls experience. College and/or University degree in a related field, or applicable work experience. Knowledge of Earned Value principles. Understanding of Project Management and Project Controls, including PMBOK concepts. Proficiency in Primavera P6 (intermediate to advanced). Ability to read and manipulate schedules and reports. Knowledge of cost engineering and cost control. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Visio. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks in high-pressure environments. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate across all management levels. Willingness to learn and advance technically.
