Your Impact: As the Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS),you''ll play a critical role in shaping and executing BIOVECTRAs EHS strategy across multiple sites as we integrate within the Agilent portfolio.Youll be responsible for ensuring that our operations adhere to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices. By leading a dynamic team, youll champion EHS policies and drive continuous improvement initiatives that safeguard the well-being of our people and the environment. What Youll Do: Lead EHS Programs:Spearhead the development, planning, and implementation of cutting-edge environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures across all BIOVECTRA sites. Compliance Champion:Ensure the companys compliance with internal policies, government regulations, and industry standards. Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies. Performance Monitoring:Use your analytical skills to monitor, measure, and report on our EHS performance, driving accountability and continuous improvement. Training & Development:Develop and implement a world class EHS training system. Hazard Mitigation:Oversee process hazard analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented swiftly to mitigate risks and prevent accidents. Sustainability Leadership:Drive sustainability efforts across the organization, ensuring we meet environmental goals while fostering a culture of responsibility and care for the planet. Accident Investigations:Lead the organization in investigating accidents and safety incidents, identifying root causes, and ensuring the effective resolution of issues. Ensure Audit Success:Oversee health and safety audits, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and continuous improvement in our EHS practices. Qualifications Bachelor''s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (Or related field), plus an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma. CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation is preferred. 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical/chemical or comparable manufacturing setting, specifically in EHS management. Proven track record in managing health and safety systems in industrial environments. Strong familiarity withCanadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA),NPRI,NSN, and other relevant regulations. Expertise in health and safety legislation, best practices, and risk management strategies. Preferred Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously and handle complex challenges with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential hazards. Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $123,837.00 - $193,495.00/yr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
