Director of Project ManagementOrganization: Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization (https://cpdc.ca/)Position: Director, Project Management (preclinical radiopharmaceutical development)Location: Remote / GTA or Ottawa with the expectation of travel as required for client engagements, site monitoring and industry events.Overview:Reporting to the VP Contract Research the Director of Project Management will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex radiopharmaceutical projects across research and development, discovery and preclinical phases. This role is critical to ensure the timely delivery of services and exceptional customer service. It will involve coordinating cross-functional teams and maintaining strong client relationships. This position requires an entrepreneurial and collaborative individual with exceptional project management experience executing and delivering R&D / preclinical projects for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a transformative organization at the cutting edge of radiopharmaceutical research and development.Responsibilities:Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the radiopharmaceutical product lifecyclefrom feasibility to completion of IND-enabling studies as well as preparation for clinical trials and regulatory submissions.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors, ensuring effective communication and management of expectations, timelines, and deliverables.Coordinate and oversee activities of external contractors and internal departments including radiochemistry, in vivo and in vitro studies and modeling, regulatory, advisory and medical writing.Manage project scope, resources, timelines and risks effectively, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of potential issues.Develop and implement project management strategies, processes and best practices to optimize efficiency and ensure quality deliverables.Ensure adherence to internal processes and policies.Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.Track and report on project progress, identifying, communicating and resolving issues proactively.Participate in proposal development, budget preparation, and bid defense meetings for new business opportunities.Mentor and provide leadership to junior project managers and coordinators.Engage with sponsors, vendors and partners to ensure project success.Maintain a general knowledge of the radiopharmaceutical field and technical advancements.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in life sciences, pharmacology, nuclear medicine, or a related field; advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) preferred.Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.Proven experience managing preclinical projects or research programs in a CRO or sponsor setting.PMP certification or equivalent project management training preferred.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Experience with project management software tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).Preferred Experience:At least 5 years of project management experience in a CRO setting.At least 3 years of project management experience in radiopharmaceutical development or nuclear medicine.Familiarity with PET/SPECT imaging, radioactive isotopes, or theranostic development.Experience in early-phase research, discovery and/or preclinical research.About BridgeBright Search and Advisory:CPDC has retained BridgeBright Search and Advisory Group to lead the recruitment for their Director of Project Management.
