Corporate Director of Human ResourcesPosition Summary This role will lead the HR function of M&A across Perseus; providing expertise as we enter new jurisdictions and partnering with the M&A teams to build strong relationships and support the growth of the business. The role will lead collaboration between Corporate HR and decentralized HR resources while ensuring compliance and appropriate infrastructure required for new jurisdictions globally. The role will be responsible for synthesizing decentralized needs with corporate policies and procedures.The ideal candidate will have experience in M&A and global expansion. Be a resourceful self-starter with strong judgment and adaptability. They will manage and mentor other HR team members within the businesses and serve as a point of escalation for decentralized HR resources needing guidance and support from the corporate human resources team.Job Responsibilities: HR Management & Support - AllPoint of escalation be a contact and resource for the decentralized HR resources; providing a sounding board and mentor as they onboard and grow in their roles. Evaluate and build tools to support the decentralization of key areas of HR into the business. Training partnering with L&D, identify areas of training opportunities for the human resources team and help to review content curated by L&D.Compliance provide general oversight of the human resources compliance function at Perseus Head Office. Serve as the point of escalation for compliance matters. Connect with compliance and legal counsel, as neededPossess an understanding of human resources compliance across multiple geographies with the ability to learn new areas, as they become relevant (see foreign expansion).Possess a broader (global) understanding of human resources compliance. Maintain a library of information and lessons learned so that the data can be easily located and referenced for future Immigration provide general oversight of the immigration function at Perseus Head Office.Be the point of escalation for immigration inquiries.Possess a general understanding of the business structure to provide support, where needed.Escalate to counsel, as needed, to support immigration efforts. HR Management & Support International Expansion SupportIdentify solutions to manage and support HR expansion globally, including payroll and benefits, as neededEnsure development of policies and procedures to maintain compliance internationally Collaborate with local and BU management to determine if any there are any changes that must be made regarding standard Corporate communications, including language, engagement surveys, performance reviews, and standard communication on Perseus ConnectManagement and assessment of 3rd party vendors used to support international expansion, such as EORs, POEs, payroll, and consultantsDevelop working relationships internally with other Corporate and BU departments needed to accomplish the above (Legal, IT, Payroll, Benefits, compliance.)M&A Management & Support General Manage the corporate HR M&A functions and offer guidance on full scope of the M&A process: from due diligence through smooth integration of employeesEducation of M&A process for BU HR leadsOversight of M&A function at both the Corporate and BU level to ensure all due diligence HR items addresses and all tasks completedContinuous improvement of function as revealed through PAR reviewDevelop metrics to monitor success of M&A function, both at corporate level and within the BUManage M&A as it relates to global expansion, researching and proposing solutions and bringing the proposed solution to completion. Qualifications: Educational Background: BA/BS in Human Resources or a related fieldExperience: 10+ years of progressive Human Resources Management experience, with a strong background in labor and employee relations, HR compliance, M&A, and people development. HR Certification, a plus.Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge and experience with current Canadian, US and various international employment laws. Leadership and Team Building: Proven experience in building teams, quickly earning respect, and gaining confidence at all levels of the organization. Experience managing employees in a remote environment.Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems (e.g., ADP).
