Supreme Steel is looking for a Senior Project Controls individual to join our team on the Aspen Power Station project site near Guernsey, SK.This 'in person' position will be required to work either at job sites or in the Saskatoon office location.Preference will be given to applicants experienced with scheduling using Primavera (P6), change management, cost control, and change estimating.Candidates should be fully competent using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel including preparing project graphs and reports. The successful candidate will be detailed oriented, have strong organizational and leadership skills and communicate effectively.This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:Scheduling project resources for the job siteDaily communication with Project Managers and other functional managersProviding weekly updates to senior level managersPopulating schedules based on inputs from the Project EstimatorsAnalyzing the schedule and help determine execution strategiesField progressing and reportingQuantity surveyingChange managementHaving proven experience with structural steel fabrication and heavy industrial erection projects in Western Canada, the successful candidate will also possess the following attributes:Minimum 5-10 years experience with P6 Scheduling and associated project controls dutiesSolves problems and contributes new ideas that improve quality and efficiencyPrevious experience with shutdown schedulingExceptional communication skills, written and verbalTime management skillsExpert Microsoft Excel and P6 skillsSteel Construction estimating skillsSupreme Steel offers a competitive salary, and benefit package after three months and a self-directed RRSP program after one year.SUPREME STEEL has been transforming landscapes across western Canada and the United States since 1972, tackling the biggest challenges with heart, smarts and cutting-edge technology.
