The Villa is comprised of three distinct hallsHall A, Hall B, and Hall Cwith a combined capacity of approximately 1,300 guests. Hall A is a standalone building that can accommodate up to 800 guests, making it ideal for large-scale events. Halls B and C are two equally sized, adjacent, and partitionable spaces that together host up to 500 guests, offering flexible layouts for a variety of event formats. Whether for weddings, birthdays, private or corporate functions, concerts, or graduations, our expert team guides clients through every step of the planning process to ensure a seamless and personalized experience. Backed by years of hospitality experience, the Nerval group brings a deep understanding of what it takes to create truly memorable events.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager at The Villa by Nerval, located in Edmonton, AB. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of customer service, and managing staff. They will coordinate events, from planning to execution, while maintaining the elegance and sophistication of the venue. Additionally, the General Manager will handle budgeting, financial reporting, and liaising with clients and vendors to ensure a seamless experience.QualificationsStrong leadership, team management, and organizational skillsExperience in hospitality management, event planning, and customer serviceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in budgeting, financial management, and reportingAbility to solve problems and handle stressful situations effectivelyExperience with vendor management and contract negotiationsBachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferredFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
