Gas Processing Equipment Specialist '> We are looking for a highly experienced Plant Operator to join our team in Simonette, AB. This 12-month contract position offers a 14-14 rotation with camp accommodations provided. '> Key Responsibilities: '> '> Ensure safe and efficient production by operating and monitoring gas processing equipment, including sour gas facilities, amine units, and sweetening systems. '> Minimize downtime by conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant equipment. '> Maintain optimal operating conditions by monitoring and adjusting process variables (pressure, temperature, flow rates). '> Comply with safety regulations by performing H2S monitoring and mitigation. '> Assist with start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures as required. '> Complete accurate logs, reports, and documentation in accordance with regulatory and operational standards. '> Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to coordinate repairs and improvements. '> Adhere to all safety, environmental, and operational policies, including PPE and emergency response protocols. '> Qualifications & Experience: '> '> A valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certification (ABSA certification required). '> Extensive experience in sour gas operations, including exposure to H2S, amine treating, and gas sweetening processes. '> A strong understanding of gas plant operations, instrumentation, and control systems. '> The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote, fast-paced environment. '> Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to safety. '> Previous experience in a 14-14 rotational shift is an asset. '> Safety certifications (H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, etc.) are preferred. '> Work Conditions & Benefits: '> '> A 14-14 rotation (12-hour shifts, alternating days and nights).
