This role involves defining and monitoring research and education performance indicators, collaborating with academic health partners, and providing strategic leadership to align research and education platforms, processes, and policies. The CAO will foster relationships with researchers, health authorities, universities, government, and philanthropic entities to create a supportive research environment that improves health outcomes and supports system sustainability.The ideal candidate is a strategic, future-oriented leader with a proven ability to leverage research opportunities at a system level, translating vision into practical applications. They are collaborative, humble, and experienced in developing science and research partnerships within broad transformational contexts. An effective communicator and relationship builder, the CAO will leverage external opportunities, build coalitions, and work within political, relational, and regulatory contexts to meet strategic goals.
