Role OverviewSodexo is seeking a Senior Director - Health, Safety & Environmental onsite in Houston, Texas with 25%-50% travel. The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Senior Director is the top health and safety professional directly supporting a major oil & gas company. This professional ensures compliance with company, customer, local, state,and federal safety regulations for a multiunit portfolio domestically in 14 states and globally six countries in the complex Energy and Resources industry. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where they supervise audits, train leaders/employees, and identify gaps in safety programs, safety systems, and safe work practice manuals to prevent incidents, accidents and injuries in both refinery, plant and office settings. The position focuses on identifying and directing the implementation of new and continuous improvements to safety plans, safety systems, and safety culture. The HSE Senior Director will liaise with other operations leadership, safety professionals, and the business partners, as well as leverage best practice information from industry and online sources.Maintains local client relationship and works closely with operational excellence (OE) team at the site level. Liaise with workmans comp carrier for effective management of comp cases. Maintains case management program for site injuries and incidents. Key member of leadership team managing all Quality Assurance, Physical and or Environmental Safety Programs for a specific client or contract.What You'll DoTechnical - 45%Ensures that the specific unit or client contract is in compliance with Corporate Sodexo and client HSE policies and programs.Driving all Quality Assurance, Physical and Environmental Safety Programs for a specific contract; develop and monitor risk improvement plans for high loss unitsAssist in the development and execution of procedures/protocol to understand and manage the cost, risk, and exposure of programs, events, and new servicesHas authority to Stop WorkPresent safety updates at DM/VP and construction staff meetings and safety huddlesSupports new hire and sub-contractor onboarding to ensure a trained and competent workforce.Oversees incidents and accidents from claim to closure and various reportsPoint of ContactPartnering with clients to drive a safety cultureManaging client relationshipsEnsuring contract complianceManage multi-units domestically and globally and client specific budgetEnsure compliance and alignment with local and state regulationsManage direct reports and support over 800 employeesIncident and injury investigations including safety improvement plansDevelopment and creation of correction action plans, root cause analysis and trainingRFP responses, due diligence and site visits for business developmentIndustry trends analysis relative to specific contractContractual correspondenceMulti-unit evaluations and auditsOther Possible Duties - 55%Perform analysis on all incidents and report findings throughout the chain of commandDevelop programs and procedures as neededSupport teams in completing high-quality permits and hazard analysis as outlined in Safe Work PracticesAttain OSHA 30 Hour certification and be present during high-risk workParticipate in client audits and assessmentsPerform SME activities in delegated subject areas and share information throughout the accountTravel to multi-unit locations and have authorization to drive a motor vehicleWhat We OfferCompensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
