Join us and be a part of something impactful!Job Overview:As Manager, Project Documents, you will lead the development and implementation of standardized document control processes across multiple major infrastructure projects. This role ensures compliance with legislative, contractual, and corporate information management requirements. You will oversee document lifecycle management, support system migrations, and evaluate contractor submissions. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, youll develop project-specific plans and drive continuous improvement. Develops key performance indicators to measure document control work processes and productivity for major projects and document repositories. Reviews contract submittals (e.g., Record Management Plans) that establish the integrity, security and accessibility of document control processes. Consults with stakeholders to develop project-specific Record Management and Document Control Plans consistent with legislation, contractual, business and policy requirements. Reviews individual Project Agreements to establish, monitor and optimize document control work processes and procedures for major project documentation requirements including submittals and correspondence. Provides expert advice to support the integration of document control processes with corporate information management initiatives and programs.Develops, reviews and/or updates policies, standards and procedures to implement efficient information management processes and document control services for major projects and document repositories.Establishes and monitors efficient document control processes throughout the project life cycle including close-out, handover of contractual deliverables and organizational records management requirements. Establishes and maintains cross-training processes across document control project team. Represents the organization on projects and initiatives requiring liaison with internal and/or external stakeholders including the Ministry of Transportation and Transit and project teams. Provides expert advice to support the implementation of corporate information management initiatives relating to specific projects, document control services and requirements. Leads technology and process changes to document control activities in conjunction with corporate information management requirements. Monitors emerging information management technologies, issues, and approaches to support corporate initiatives for document control activities. Leads, coaches, and mentors staff and manages recruitment, assignment of work, development and evaluation of performance expectations, career guidance, approvals of leave, and performance management. Qualifications:University degree or post-secondary diploma in in Information Science, Business or Public Administration or a related discipline and 5 years experience in a management roleDiploma in Information Management and some related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in the supervision of staff including directing, assignment of work and performance evaluation.Ability to analyze issues, identify options and recommend courses of action using sound judgement.Ability to handle time sensitive issues quickly and accurately.Related experience includes:Knowledge of document control in the construction management field.
