As a Machinist, every day brings a mix of precision work and collaboration. This is a role for an existing vacay where you'll machine high-accuracy components for automated production equipment, fixtures, and robotic systems, using both CNC and manual equipment. Beyond machining, youll work alongside engineers and automation specialists to refine designs and improve machine performance. Whether fabricating custom parts or troubleshooting on the fly, your skills keep production running efficiently. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate and program CNC machines to produce precision components for automation systems. Fabricate, modify, and repair machine components, fixtures, and tooling in collaboration with engineers. Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to ensure machining accuracy. Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments to maintain tight tolerances. Support automation teams by integrating machined parts, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Certified Machinist, Mechanical Technician, or completion of an equivalent apprenticeship program. Minimum of 5 years of machining experience, preferably supporting automation and robotic systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintain precision within tight tolerances. Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and CMM operation. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Strong understanding of CNC programming, G-code, and CAD/CAM software. Experience working with automation components, including fixtures, sensors, and robotics. Toolmaker background with advanced machining skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
