Job Title: Customer Service Rep Location: Oakville, ON Schedule: Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week Start Time: 8:00 AM End Time: 4:30 PM Lunch Break: 30 minutes Note: Alternative start/end times may be accommodated between 7:00 AM 5:00 PM Salary: Hourly Rate: $24.00/hour Reporting to: Customer Service Supervisor Responsibilities: Report to work as assigned, on time, and in a safe and efficient manner. Interact professionally with internal personnel, customers, vendors, and associates. Accurately process freight bills for TL, LTL, Courier, and Warehouse environments. Process freight bills as per customer shipping requirements. Deconsolidate freight bills accurately. Respond promptly to customer freight inquiries and issues. Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and supervisors. Apply fuel surcharges and accessorial charges accurately. Validate customer freight bill orders for accuracy. Support company goals related to gross margin by helping increase revenue and reduce costs. Monitor and record shipment details. Adhere to company policies and relevant regulatory requirements. Follow standard operating procedures for consignees, customers, shippers, and associates. Maintain a professional, courteous, and positive attitude with all personnel. Provide support to the accounting department as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Post-secondary education. Minimum 1 year of experience in the transportation industry. Freight rating experience is considered an asset. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient with transportation management systems (Truckmate/TMW TMS) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.). Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines (e.g., customer requests, month-end tasks).
