Director, ManufacturingDirector, Manufacturing will assume direct responsibility, leadership and management of manufacturing, production planning, and safety, quality and on-time delivery.Duties and Responsibilities:Overall responsibility for ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery of our semiconductor radiation detector products;Overall responsibility for recruiting, developing and leading Production Managers and their Production Technicians.Overall responsibility for cost reduction, sustaining engineering, test engineeringOverall responsibility for production scheduling, execution and on time delivery.Responsible for building a best practice manufacturing organization with a strong culture of continuous improvement in quality and cost;Develop analytical tools and metrics to monitor quality and costWork closely with R&D and Engineering to ensure the smooth transfer and implementation of new products and process technologies;Play a key role in plant expansion and capital equipment selection;Prioritize and support the development and implementation of semiconductor manufacturing processesContinuously implement initiatives that aim to improve processes, systems and culture across the department and wider company; andMaintain and model a positive and professional attitude, that cultivates healthy working relationships across all levels of the organization.Qualifications & Experience:Engineering or Science degree and/or a combination of education and relevant experienceExperience managing a $50M+ production lineExperience managing in a semiconductor or thin film fabrication line10+ years manufacturing experienceExperience in selection, training and supervision of production techniciansProcess improvement and cost reductionManaging in an ISO9001 or ISO13485 environmentExperience in the management of health, safety and environmental qualityPersonal Characteristics:CollaborativeFlexiblePositive attitudeQuality orientedTime sensitiveHands-onCuriousAttention to detailCustomer focused
