Compensation : $18 $20 / hour (full-time / permanent)Labourers at On Side are important team members who help rebuild and restore damaged personal and commercial property, anywhere and anytime disaster strikes. Labourers are the MVP of the restoration teams. Willing to learn, love being taught and full of ambition the Labourer knows theyre going places in life and this is the first stop on the way to success!Water damage in a home or business is one of the most stressful events our clients might ever experience. At On Side, Water Damage Technicians (WDTs) go wherever a burst pipe, blocked drain, sewer backup (yes, sometimes its one of those situations) or other water-related disaster calls.Working directly with the Water Damage Technicians, learning the ropes, this position is the steppingstone to becoming a Tech!What you bringLabourers bring a host of abilities to their work, not the least being a get it done! attitude. Additional abilities required include :Physically fit water damage can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight placesUnderstanding and experience using hand and power toolsMechanical aptitude you can look at something and just know how it worksInterest in demolition and emergency mitigationCapable of using technology to record information as requiredCurious nature, always want to know how things happenStrong people, teamwork and communication skillsAttention to detail, ability to follow directionsA safety mindsetValid drivers licence, clean drivers abstract and a clean criminal record (we do check)Ability to communicate in EnglishOther stuff thatll help you be successful but isnt mandatory :Experienced in construction, particularly demolitionWHMISFirst AidOf NoteDisasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24 / 7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.Whats in it for you?Were an established company in a growing industry and we need awesome people!
