Production Supervisor Afternoon Shift Our client, a well-established company in the food production sector, is seeking a Production Supervisor Afternoon Shift to lead daily operations in their food processing facility. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing a department during the afternoon shift, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and team performance. As a key member of the production leadership team, youll drive improvements in yield, labour productivity, and operational execution, while fostering a positive and respectful work environment. Youll manage a team of Lead Hands and Assistant Lead Hands and play an essential role in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. What Youll Do: Supervise and support a cross-functional team during the afternoon shift in a unionized environment Ensure production lines operate efficiently and are properly staffed Promote safety, food quality, and performance through strong leadership and standards Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, Warehouse, and HR teams to resolve issues and improve processes Implement and monitor key performance metrics, operational plans, and compliance requirements Provide coaching, training, and development support for team members Maintain a strong floor presence to address challenges and drive results in real time What You Bring: Proven supervisory experience in a unionized, manufacturing or food production setting Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills A safety-first mindset and commitment to quality Strong understanding of production processes, yields, and labour cost control Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with other production-related systems is a plus A continuous improvement approach with a customer-focused mindset Why Join: This is a high-impact opportunity to lead a dynamic team during a key shift in a growing company.
