Can-Tech Services is looking for a Dual Ticket Millwright & Electrician for one of our reputable Steel Fabrication & Manufacturing clients for their facility in the Niagara region. They are seeking an experienced Dual Ticket Millwright & Electrician to join their steel fabrication team. This position combines specialized mechanical and electrical skills to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our manufacturing equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess both millwright and electrician certifications and have experience in industrial settings, particularly in steel fabrication. Location: Niagara Region (St. Catherine''s) Hours of work: Full-time position, Monday to Friday with a rotation to afternoon shift once per month, as well as on-call responsibilities during weekends May require occasional weekend work for major repairs or installations Work is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at all times on the production floor Some tasks may require working at heights or in confined spaces Overtime: Overtime is paid at a rate of time and a half (x1.5) for hours worked in excess of 44 hours per week Duties and Responsibilities: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical components of manufacturing machinery and equipment Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure continuous operation Diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic tools and testing instruments Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and equipment Wire controls and equipment according to electrical code requirements Calibrate precision instruments and equipment components Respond to emergency breakdown calls and perform repairs to minimize downtime Monitor inventory of parts and supplies and order replacements as needed Document maintenance and repair activities, parts usage, and equipment history Collaborate with production teams to coordinate planned maintenance schedules Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures Train and mentor junior technicians as required Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Valid 433A Industrial Millwright & 442A Industrial Electrician licenses (Dual Ticket required) Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in steel fabrication Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in electrical systems Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Proficiency with precision measuring instruments Knowledge of PLC controls and automation systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Experience with welding and fabrication an asset Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions Work Environment To apply please email your resume to Denushka Punchihewa at CTS 1
