Job Description

Line of Business: Aggregates Sechelts maintenance manager is responsible for managing the repair and maintenance of fixed plant equipment and machinery and for supervising and supporting our fixed plant maintenance personnel. The maintenance manager oversees a maintenance planner, maintenance supervisors, maintenance engineers, and around 20 maintenance tradespersons (warehousepersons, millwrights, welders, electricians). Sechelts maintenance manager is responsible for managing the repair and maintenance of fixed plant equipment and machinery and for supervising and supporting our fixed plant maintenance personnel. The maintenance manager oversees a maintenance planner, maintenance supervisors, maintenance engineers, and around 20 maintenance tradespersons (warehousepersons, millwrights, welders, electricians). What You''ll Be Doing Lead health & safety initiativesto ensure positive outcomes through employee engagement and risk reduction. Ensure plant reliabilityby executing an effective maintenance program and coordinating scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance with the production department. Supervise and delegate tasksto maintenance crew and on-site contractors, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation. Support new equipment installationsby coordinating resources, labor, and materials, and managing the sourcing and ordering of replacement parts. Analyze breakdowns and maintain recordsto provide improvement recommendations, reduce downtime, and manage equipment repair history. What Are We Looking For A trades qualification, or an engineering educational background, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of British Columbia health & safety regulations and BC Mines Code. Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software. Proven organizational and problem-solving skills. Proven interpersonal and communication skills. Work Environment Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
