The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing complex payroll systems, including partner draws and handling payroll for multiple companies.Key Responsibilities:Manage and process all payroll and benefits transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.Prepare payroll statements and reports, including partner draws and trust account-related payroll matters.Reconcile payroll records regularly and resolve discrepancies promptly.Assist with year-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.Respond to payroll-related inquiries from staff and partners, providing timely and accurate support.Contribute to the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and system improvements.Stay informed on payroll laws and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.Qualifications and Skills:Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of payroll principles.Proven experience managing payroll in a complex environment, including partner draws and multi-company payroll.Proficiency with payroll software, particularly ADP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Knowledge and experience using enterprise-level payroll software tools like ADP and 3E (Elite), or equivalent.Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Preferred Experience:Experience in payroll administration within a legal or professional services setting.Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations in payroll and accounting.Experience in payroll platform conversions and migrations.Compensation and Benefits:Group Benefits Plan (Extended Health, Dental, and other insurances):Employer covers 100% of premiums for Single coverage and 75% for Family coverage.Employees contribute to Life Insurance, LTD, STD, and 25% of Dental and Extended family premiums.Retirement Plan (RRSP):Eligibility after 3 months, with matching contributions starting at 1 year (up to 4%, increasing to 5% after 2 years).Application Process:If you meet the qualifications and are eager to contribute your expertise, please submit your resume and cover letter highlighting relevant experience.How to Apply:Arlyn Recruiting collaborates with Canadas top law firms to help professionals secure ideal career opportunities.
