Chief Operating Officer (COO)of North American OperationsOur client, with 10 locations and over 1,100 employees worldwide, is one of the leading names in hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic systems, primarily for mobile crane construction. The headquarters is located in Germany and is predominantly family-owned.The COO will assume overall responsibility for the reorganization and strategic management of North American operations under unified leadership. The primary goal is to further increase profitability, capitalize on synergies, and build an efficient sales organization.In this role, you will also travel up to 50% of the time. The branches you will be responsible for are located in Alabama and Montreal.Key ResponsibilitiesReorganization and RealignmentLead the development and implementation of a unified organizational structure.Recruit, inspire, and motivate the team to drive successful realignment.Establish and restructure an efficient and performance-driven sales team.Strategic Business DevelopmentIdentify and leverage synergies across multiple locations.Minimize internal competition and align resources.Ensure profitability and efficient production processes.Operational ExcellenceOversee and optimize production processes, quality, and efficiency across facilities.Ensure effective collaboration between sales, production, and quality assurance teams.Leadership and Human Resource ManagementBuild and manage a high-performing team.Make critical personnel decisions.Promote a constructive and cooperative leadership style.Education/Professional Expertise:Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; ideally supplemented with an MBA or a comparable qualification focused on organization and sales.Extensive experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role.Proven track record in custom/machinery manufacturing, automotive construction, or a related industry.Broad experience in building and optimizing sales organizations.Personal Strengths/Competencies:Strong strategic and operational leadership qualities.High-level analytical and decision-making skills with a focus on synergies and profitability.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Inclusive leadership style.High level of assertiveness, personal responsibility, and a strong drive to shape and innovate.Our client is actively working to create a diverse and welcoming workplace.We are looking forward to receiving your resume.
