Controller Accounting & Operational Manager Base: $142,500-145,000+Bonus: $42,500-45,000+Reports - 4 (Accounting, AP, AR, Payroll)Reporting to: PresidentLocation - HamiltonMandate Full cycle accounting up to Trial Balance Bookkeeping General Ledgers Bank reconciliation Handle routine bank matters Expenses Monthly remittance Corp Tax remittance Empower President to present to 3rd party stakeholders (Banks, insurance, Bonding, etc.) External Accounting firms External CRA stakeholders Accurately complete the month-end financial close in a timely fashion Prepare monthly communications that summarize plant and sales performance. Prepare quarterly board financials, dashboards and finance presentations. Process business transactions including General Ledger, A/P, Payroll, Inventory and Fixed Assets File and pay all required statutory filings (WSIB, EHT, HST, etc) Setup new employees and perform payroll Ensure that all reserves, write-offs and accruals are timely and appropriate Prepare insightful financial variance and trend analysis Work in progress reporting (Subcontracting, Services, Manufacturing) Facilitate internal and external audit requirements, and implement all audit recommendations Prepare all capital appropriations requests Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecastsKey Performance Indicators Quality of work (accuracy, completeness,) On time delivery of work (Contracting/Services/MFG = WIP) Efficiency (do more with less)Logistics:Why new role: Growth Location: 4 days per week office Experience: CPA and/or CMA and/or CA Managing Experience (Fire/Hire/Groom/Grow Talent) GAAP experience Experience delivering on accounting activities up to Trial Balances Enabling Executives to present to 3rd party stakeholders (banks/investors/Insurance) Experience dealing with third party Accounting firms Experience dealing with CRA Long/Short review Mandate checkmark the list.
