Salary: This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. Job Description: As a Train Conductor, you will be responsible for the safe movement of trains and rail cars. Your duties will include coordinating train movements, operating track switches, and performing ground work outside the locomotive cab. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all train orders, signals, railroad rules and regulations related to safety and operations. Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also need to be physically fit and able to lift up to 90 pounds. Additionally, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be proficient in oral and written communications. Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid training, health insurance, and retirement savings plan. New hires who complete their probationary period are entitled to a $5,000 payment, and an additional $5,000 payment after 12 months of employment as a Qualified Conductor. Other Requirements: You will need to obtain and maintain a Conductors Rule Card, possess and maintain a passport allowing entry/re-entry to Canada and the United States, and be proficient in English or French language proficiency depending on location. Relevant work experience in similar working conditions or regulatory/safety environment is also desirable.
