Debt Recovery Paralegal Role ''> A leading law firm in Edmonton seeks an experienced Debt Recovery and Foreclosures Paralegal to join their busy team. As a key member of the foreclosure and collection team, you will work independently on files and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality results. ''> ''> Prepare collection documents such as demand letters, Statements of Claim, Originating Applications, Garnishees, and Writs of Enforcements ''> Communicate with debtors, process servers, and service providers ''> Prepare caveats for condo fee collections, default judgments, writs of enforcement, and bills of cost ''> Update the client database on file proceedings ''> Open files, perform searches, prepare template letters and documents ''> Organize and administer payment plans, receipt cheques, and pay invoices ''> Digital management of email and other correspondence, and other clerical and accounting duties required for file management ''> ''> The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in debt recovery and foreclosure, a diploma in Legal Assistance or Paralegal Studies from an accredited institution, and in-depth knowledge of Alberta Rules of Court and civil enforcement procedures. ''> In addition, they should be proactive, independent, well-organized, with keen attention to detail, adept at managing deadlines and adapting to changing priorities, and familiar with relevant legislation such as the Civil Enforcement Act, Personal Property Securities Act, Law of Property Act, and Condominium Property Act.
