As an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality garments and other consumer textile products. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of fabrics and sewing techniques, as well as a keen eye for detail. Our in-house textile services include fashion design, cut & sew manufacturing, contract apparel decoration, and retail finishing. We design and manufacture activewear and lifestyle apparel under our own brand Tonic Active and are a proud private-label manufacturing and decoration partner to various other fashion brands and retailers. Our Made in Canada manufacturing operations feature both small-batch and mid-scale production capabilities, while our vertically integrated approach allows our brand partners to streamline operations, optimize supply chain management, ensure product quality, and maintain a competitive edge without having to outsource offshore. Operate industrial sewing machines to sew, join, gather, hem, or reinforce materials Follow patterns and specifications to produce accurate and high-quality products Inspect finished products for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines and troubleshoot any issues Proven experience as an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Familiarity with various types of sewing machines and techniques Experience with Heat Bonding Machines, Ultrasonic Welding Machines, or Taping Machines is an asset Competitive hourly-based compensation Opportunity for ongoing employment based on performance Work from our Vancouver, BC Headquarters with on-site Production Studio and Design Lab (on TransLink bus route and close to Gilmore and Rupert Skytrain Stations) We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability status.
