This role is a critical part of the team as it has primary responsibility for data modeling and benchmarking analysis under direct supervision. * You have an educational background and/or experience in compensation, total rewards, and human resources, and use your knowledge to reinforce the design, education, and facilitation of compensation programs that supports the constantly changing needs of our business landscape. **Heres the impact youll make and what well accomplish together!** We believe that a sound data-driven approach is the best way to make appropriate compensation decisions. You will work as a trusted P&C partner to provide direct support to the team advising on compensation policies and programs. With guidance from senior team members, you will help solve a diverse set of business challenges using rigourous analytics and market best practices. P&C decision-makers and TELUS senior leadership depend on the Compensation team to provide guidance on internal and external market trends, and we help empower leaders to effectively attract, retain, and engage team members in alignment with TELUS talent strategy. **Heres how:** --------------- * Under direction from Compensation team members, conduct compensation and financial modelling and benchmarking usingExcel/Google Sheets * Participate in the annual market review process and salary surveys including preparing, auditing and analyzing data * Participate in regular and adhoc audits and other reporting requirements * Research topics such as pay practices / policies, financial performance, and total rewards trends, and within the broader marketplace, using TELUS internal resources, third-party survey publications, competitor reports, and publicly available information * Assist in preparing written and visual content for comp programs and philosophies and market compensation comparisons, draft presentations for review by senior team members; collaborate to refine and finalize said materials * Commensurate with experience, serve as a day-to-day contact to various HR Business Partners for data management requests * Navigating 3 HRIS systems (SuccessFactors (2) & Workday), working towards a global mandate, system and policy harmonization efforts and participating in project teams * Support annual compensation practices; Integrated Year end, RSU/PSU administration, executive compensation requests, car allowance policySupports other initiatives as needed within the compensation teams such as Federal and Provincial pay equity **Qualifications** ------------------ **What you bring** * Education and experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent, and at least two years of experience in a compensation role (or P&C role with heavy emphasis on compensation) * Experience in compensation, total rewards, benefits, pensions and annual year end processes in a large organization with (salaried, temporary, hourly and bargaining unit team members) * Data expertise: genuine passion for working with complex datasets and converting them into valuable insights that drive business decisions across TELUS; strong Excel modelling skills (e.g., complex logic statements, lookups, etc.) and great attention to detail * Problem-solving mindset: ability to decipher moderately complex datasets and deliver value-added recommendations that are grounded in insight over instinct * Collaboration and communication skills: being a team member that others actively seek out to partner with, who is clear, concise, and influential in all mediums of communication * Comfort with working in dynamic environments * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Salary Range: $72,000-$108,000 Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12% Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
