Job Description

Sarnia E&M Planner The primary focus of the Planner is to prepare for future work, allowing Supervisors to concentrate on executing currently scheduled tasks. The Planner is responsible for job planning, labor estimation, and material procurement, with assistance from Supervisor. Additionally, the Planner develops and manages Maximo work order requests. Maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders through active communication and clear prioritization of work is also a key responsibility. What you will do: Monitor WAPPR Work Orders (ex. CCOIP2) Create new work orders in Maximo as needed Estimate required hours, by craft, to perform work and skills required to perform tasks Coordinate Contractors and collaborate with Supervisor, Coordinators, Specialists, Engineering, and Technicians to develop and document work packages and job plans to support the most critical work Conduct walk downs to identify and document job requirements, identify potential safety hazards, and ensure all work follows company Safety, Environmental, and Operating procedures Review Maximo backlogs Identify and requisition required materials and services Perform receipt of received materials in Oracle Update work packages based on feedback from Engineering, Specialists, and Technicians Monitor PM Compliance and provide feedback to the team on approaching deadlines Recommend changes to Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance job plans through Accelerate KMS and MMS Ensure all resources are available prior to the start of the planned work. Lead or co-lead the weekly planning meeting and/or the combined weekly Planning/Scheduling meeting Ensure that drawings, asset records, and technical records are updated as required Utilize On-demand Job Aid Library to learn how to execute tasks Complete all mandatory safety and technical training Communicate with and maintain a positive working relationship with Control Center Operators, Engineering, Operations personnel, Maintenance personnel, and other internal and external stakeholders Who you are: Minimum of 5 years of related work experience OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience. High School Diploma or GED required. Excellent communication skills and a focus on superior customer service. Exhibits great interpersonal skills and works effectively in a team environment. Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience using computerized maintenance management system (Maximo). Experience using capacity outage planning and safe work approval (COPAS). Ability to read and understand P&ID, Isometrics drawings and OEM manuals. Knowledgeable in oil/gas pipeline operations is desirable. Working Conditions: Office-based position located in the Sarnia Terminal Occasionally required to work long hours at short notice. Hours of work can vary due to emergencies, line scheduling and outages or non-routine work. Work during nights and weekends are sometimes required. Occasional daily travel of 50-100 KM between assigned stations. Travel throughout the region for emergencies, training, and region meetings. Office setting (60%), Field setting (40%) Occasionally work in extreme cold (-40F) and extreme heat (100 F). Work is often required in high-noise level areas and areas where vapor from crude oil and solvents may be present.
